Facebook Will Give Detailed, Complete Printout of Your Activity to Police

If police officers were to file a subpoena for your Facebook information, they would receive a printout of the data from the social network. This printout would be so detailed, complete and creepy that you should strive to be a good law-abiding citizen, just to prevent it from ever existing.

We have just learned about the true nature of Facebook’s responses to subpoenas thanks to documents uncovered by the Boston Phoenix, an alternative weekly.

While researching a story about a man dubbed the “Craigslist Killer,” reporters at the Phoenix had access to “a huge trove of case files released by the Boston Police Department.” And in the process of sifting through all of those documents, they discovered the Boston Police’s subpoena of the suspect’s Facebook information - as well as the data provided by the social network.

The data - which really did come in the form of an old-fashioned paper printout rather than as a digital file of some sort - included all of the suspect’s wall posts, photos he’d uploaded, photos he’d been tagged in, a list of his Facebook friends, and “a long table of login and IP data.” Based on a look at the actual documents, it appears the login and IP data actually lists which parts of Facebook the individual accessed - down to the photos, groups and profiles he viewed.

Is 'The Avengers' shooting a scene tonight? According to RDJ, yes.:

rdjnews:

During today’s “The Avengers” post-screening press conference, Robert Downey Jr. claimed that the cast and crew were due to shoot another remaining scene that very night. When the crowd laughed and Marvel head Kevin Feige notably winced, Downey replied, “I’m not kidding,” and in typical Downey fashion ordered, “No more questions!” The cast then exited, leaving a sea of press buzzing.

Update: According to our Jeff Otto on the ground at “The Avengers” press conference Mark Ruffalo has also confirmed they are shooting an extra scene. “We’re shooting a scene tonight. I’m not sure exactly where it’s gonna go. All I know is that someone came in with the costume and said, ‘Here’s some wardrobe. We don’t know where you’re going to be or what you’re doing.’ ” Ruffalo said. We asked if it will be in the “The Avengers” when it hits theaters Ruffalo added, “Yeah. So I’m like, ‘All right, when are we doing that?’ Today after we’re done.”

“Hiding your hurt only intensifies it. Problems grow in the dark and only become bigger and bigger, but when exposed to the light of truth, they shrink. You are only as sick as your secrets. So take off your mask, stop pretending, you’re perfect, walk into freedom.”

Toby Ng - The World of 100

Have you ever asked yourself, what would the World look like as a small community of 100 people? Probably not. However, it is something to think about, as the reality would be startling - as much as you’d think so, the village would only have 7 computers, and only 1 person in the World Village would be educated at University level.

These facts are something that designer Toby Ng has thought about very carefully, and turned the results of his findings into a series of twenty infographics depicting ‘The World of 100’. Although aesthetically beautiful, with sharp lines and bold, vibrant colours, these infographics are often horrifying.

The posters look as though they have come straight out of a children’s book; is this to mirror the naivety of those that are most likely to be looking at them on their computers?

“Look, this is the World we are living in.”

- Toby Ng
